Business Registration
(These are required for all businesses in Colorado)
Colorado Secretary of State - Check name availability and register business
Internal Revenue Service (IRS) - Register for a free Federal Employer ID Number (aka FEIN, EIN or TIN)
Colorado Department of Revenue - Register for sales/use tax licenses, new employees, and more. Contact them to find out which taxes apply to you and your location.
Colorado State Occupational License Database - Search for any potential state and federal regulations for businesses in your specific industry. (Additional city/county regulations may exist, so be sure to check with your local city or county clerk licensing department.)
City of Alamosa Retail Sales Tax License - Register for a retail sales tax license if for the City of Alamosa.
